What’s XaaS?

Isn’t XaaS new to you?

Yes, it is to some of you. You would have heard about Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).

XaaS is ‘Anything’ as a service. It’s pay as you go model of services related to cloud computing and remote access. You can use the service providers’ products, tools, technologies and others and pay for the services you used.

XaaS even includes Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Communications as a Service (CaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS) and others. So the XaaS availability depends on the service provider. AWS (Amazon Web Services)is one of the service providers that provides Cloud Services.

Pool is a number of physical servers that are maintained by a single organization or company to maintain the multiple requests that come in from various clients.

Clients are the systems and the requests are from the users who type URLs to open web pages/applications.

The pool of servers (example1, example2, example3, example4, example5) that have been mapped to a particular URL eg., http://www.example.com helps balancing the load/traffic enabling unbroken services to the client.
