The Race

Run slow and reach the goal,
No sword is above your head,
It’s your life and yours alone,
Keep a slow pace and be cool!

No point in sweating, panicking,
And running from pole to post,
You got to run your race, none can,
So do not hurry but keep moving.

Be slow and steady to live long,
As people around you are viewers,
They can just watch but can’t run,
It’s your life and the race is yours!

Lay curled next to me,
After a journey in me,
Swimming, kicking in me,
My flesh, blood and my life!

Were a spongy little thing,
Who came out crying aloud,
With long nails and hair,
Is a cute little angel to me!

Divine is your smell to me,
Pure and holy is your presence,
A precious bundle of joy,
That keeps me going!

Inside the Ocean

Irresponsible is he to her,

Hanging out with friends,

Avoiding eye contact, talks,

That will lead to a fight.

A silent maniac is he!

She is an idiot to him,

Of no use but fit to earn,

Fool is she to live with him.

She knows it’s a death trap,

A life lock that has no key,

As he knows where it is,

Inside the deep, blue Ocean!

A Heavy Heart

Comes home regularly to work,

Does the tasks diligently in silence,

Has a heaviness in heart hidden,

Which is obvious in her voice.

Lived in poverty through out life,

Giving everything to her family,

A woman of no education or assets.

Cleans houses and does chores,

Aged is she but works very hard,

To make her family happy,

A maid whom none can hate!

The Drunken Clown

A few pegs later, starts his drama,

Weeping and confronting his wife,

Promising heaven and moon,

His true inner self emerges out.

His addiction turns him a clown,

Talking nonsense, often is funny,

Yet childish with the tantrums,

Shouting on the top of his voice.

The next day, I see him, refined,

Of no trace of the clown in him,

Clad in work attire, elegant,

Clean shaven , hurrying to office.

Grieve not for the lost money,

It’s just money you can earn it back.

Fear not for the future life,

For it will be better that the present.

Listen not to the success stories,

Where’s the other stories teach you.

Touch not the one that is unwilling,

For it is a sin that would haunt you.

Share not the knowledge for free,

As it is the treasure that lasts till end.
