His world is the size of a peanut,
Nothing matters but his family,
Sweats over his son’s journey,
Wants them at home before dark.
Old fashioned but a humble man,
Has done harm to none, but loved,
All his life, giving but never taking,
His deeds are true and lovable!
His day starts seeing his family,
Safe and happy, sleeps peacefully,
If the others are happy, else slugs,
Pokes his nose in every move!
A humble banker was he,
With no big dreams or goal,
But to run his small family,
That totally depended on him!
He was too straightforward,
Decent was his monthly pay,
Yet couldn’t live at peace,
As not each day is the same.
When his wallet was empty,
His goal was just to keep it full,
So that his family doesn’t suffer,
A rich man at heart was he!
The little girl’s hero is her father,
And she is his darling child,
Never did he let her out of sight,
His loving daughter is his world!
When he was tired, she took his role,
Happily, helped him in tough times,
Shouldering his responsibilities,
And joyful of keeping her father happy.
Never did her shoulder felt heavy,
As she hated to see him suffer,
Ensured he was peaceful and stress free,
Her hero, the best father!
Years passed as her father grew old,
She tightened the hold and kept him close,
To keep him with her forever,
Her father, the best man on the Earth.
