It beats fast

I can feel my pounding heart,
At the gym on a treadmill,
And when I laugh at silly jokes,
A simple sign of being alive!

The heart is really amazing,
That gives love and affection,
Is just made of flesh and blood,
That lets us stay humane!

Pounds fast when you love,
Skips a beat when you miss it,
Both the ways, it pains a lot,
Yet, better to follow your heart!

Lazy Devil

Hit the gym last week happily,
Worked out with determination,
End of the week, the devil appeared-
Out of the blue, tempting me to quit.

Muscles cramped, legs wobbly,
I took an oath not to quit easily,
As I recollected a slender one,
In front of the mirror exercising!

The lazy devil vanished suddenly,
As I got up to go to the gym,
Sneezed several times breathlessly,
The devil then asked me to rest.

Right Path

She reads others’ mind with ease,
Doesn’t get fooled as expected,
Gives back with no hesitation,
Smilingly brings down the wile.

The costly price for being honest,
Is to be an outsider or an outcast,
Expressing the truth to the world,
That is too corrupt to stand her.

She took the absolute right path,
Staying away from the nonsense,
That will crush her right soul,
No matter whoever objected!

First Move

I interviewed him a year back,
Rejected him and moved forward,
As I forget even my neighbours,
Who has nothing to do with me.

Pinged me out of the blue,
Introduced himself politely,
Pleaded for my reference,
Guided him with some contacts.

Thanked me humbly as expected,
Then he said that I am pretty,
Which I already know for sure,
Laughed out loud and bid adieu!

Old Wine

She stares at his weak stature often,

Truly saddened to see his wrinkles,

Once dark and curly hair is grey,

His anxious mind is dark sometimes!

Growing old is cruel for others,

As it’s like watching leaves wither,

Fall to rot, disappearing forever,

With no trace of existence!

Though she forgets, her mind warns,

But her heart refuses and wants,

More time for him, for her sake,

As a father is much dear to her!

Resignation

When I typed my resignation,
His thoughts filled my mind,
Imagining all ways possible,
To spend my time with him.

Have no regrets at all till now,
As I play, laugh,hug, kiss,
And spend my time loving him,
Compensating the lost days!

Having thrown the money away,
My presence is gold and diamonds,
That can never be bargained,
Precious days filled with love!

Visible Witch

Encountered a witch in white,
Who is carrying a devil inside,
God knows how many roam,
In this world to kill another.

May karma take care of it,
Slimy smile that revolted me,
At times had to act friendly,
But evil is contagious as sin.

Run away from the light,
That gives out dirty smoke,
Which may cloud your eyes,
Run! Run! away from the doom.
